Closet organization and reorganization as we change seasons again.
A very sad time for me as I could live in my flip flops and sandals all year round. I enjoy every nice day all summer when I can wear my flip flops and now with fall fast approaching I hold onto all the moments when can still wear them. The forecast says 18 degrees celsius this weekend which feels a bit brrr but still warm enough for my summer shoes.
Now…what to do with all those “thong like” sandals.
I love these little hangers.
They take up such little space in my closet and actually they are great all year round for storing these kinds of summer footwear.
It’s not just the winter when front and back door closets get piled up with boots. I see many front hall closets where the summer footwear is piled up including flip flops and sandals. And of course, this overcrowding and piling up crushes and ruins these beautiful accessories.
For those of you that know me, you know that I like to find things I need with ease – no matter what it is. I am like most of youwho have a busy, productive and fun-filled lifestyle. Even when I am just going out to walk the dog or a drive with my wonderful husband I want to pick the shoes I need quickly and easily.
And, when it comes to my closet organization and my shoes,
I rarely leave footwear in the front hall or back door closet with the exception of my winter boots and any wet footwear. Otherwise, each pair goes back into my master bedroom closet. Every piece of footwear has a hanger, box or space on a shelf.
And, of course I switch them around so each season I have what I need at my fingertips.
When you use the nifty little hangers there are:
- No more crushed flip flops
- No more lost mates
- You can find both pieces of footwear quickly
- Easy access during the off season if you go on a warm winter vacation.
And, for those of you who would like to recycle a few of your metal hangers here is “how to” instructions.
